The Lowdown

Who: Laura Latterman, with cameos by Nancy Decker

What: The original idea was for the two of us to try and follow the book and actually adhere to the rules (as much within our abilities and safety). However, it seems that I, Laura, will be doing most of the blogging - Seeing as how I'm the only one crazy enough to keep up with it. I'll share little tidbits about my life in general and my book-related accomplishments. Feedback and suggestions are appreciated!

Why: Mostly because I can; however, it also gives me an odd hobby and adds some spice to my life. And, it's a great way for my friends and family to keep up with me.

When: Day 1 was August 12th, 2010... It's a loooong work in progress.

Where: Littleton, Colorado & San Juan Capistrano, California

And this is where the magic begins...

Beer Fest & Blogging

Craft Lager Festival Round 1!

Well, Saturday Nancy and I drove down to Manitou Springs for the beer festival.  We had a blast!  Hung out with her dad, saw Heather and TJ, tried a lot of beer, gave away our pretzel necklaces, and bought funny magnets.  Later, we went into town for a bit and ended up doing shots with dinner because we wanted to keep the souvenir glasses.

Round 2!

As for our lazy Sunday, we spent all day on Nancy's parent's couch watching Season 3 of True Blood.  We're almost fully caught up!

And, as for Day's 3 & 4 of our adventure...  Yesterday, I was supposed to throw away something I liked.  Being away from home made it difficult, but as soon as I got back today, I chose to throw away my CU Cammelback thermos.  I love it, but it's a little dinged up, and I've had it on my counter for a month now trying to figure out how to salvage it.  Instead, I donated it to the trash gods.

Today's assignment was to color a world map based on places you've been, will go to within a year, intend to visit before you die, and places you hope to gods you never end up.  I ended up having to create my own category, though, of places that I don't have a huge urge to go to, and don't care either way if I end up there or not.  That ended up being most of Africa.  Some places I just don't know enough about to just decide if I want to go there or not.

Tomorrow I'm supposed to place an Out of Order sign on something at random...  Suggestions on something amazing?  I was thinking, like a mailbox or something.  Wish me luck!

~ Laura
